Troubleshooting
Payments, codes, sign-in and calls.
1. What is ACHIEVER?
ACHIEVER is a Nigerian savings coordination and payments platform. It helps people save together in Osusu (also called Ajo or Esusu) groups, save individually with a trusted Collector, pay everyday bills, and stay in touch through messages, calls and meetings.
Every contribution is confirmed with our payment provider (Paystack) on ACHIEVER's servers before it appears in your records, so everyone in a group sees the same, verified history of who has paid, who is due and who has been paid out.
2. Creating an account
Go to Create account. Registration has five short steps:
- Account type — Osusu, Collector or Personal use.
- Your role — for example Osusu organiser or member, Collector or saver. Personal accounts get member and saver features.
- About you — your legal first and last name exactly as on your government ID, date of birth (you must be 18 or older), and gender. Occupation and employment are optional.
- Contact & address — email, Nigerian mobile number, state, local government area (LGA) and city. Organisers and collectors must also give a residential address. Your address is private and never shown to other members.
- Security — a password of at least 10 characters with upper- and lower-case letters and a number, and your agreement to the Terms and Privacy Policy.
If Google or Facebook sign-in is available, you can use it instead of a password. You will still add your legal details and verify your phone number — a social account does not verify your identity for financial activity.
3. Account verification
After you register we email you a 6-digit code. Enter it on the verification screen to confirm your email address. Codes expire after 10 minutes, allow 5 attempts, and you can request a new one after 60 seconds.
Next, verify your phone number from Verification in the app. We send a 6-digit code by SMS to the number on your account.
Verifying your email and phone, together with your legal name, date of birth and location, brings your account to verification level 1.
4. User profile
Open Settings → Profile to update your photo, preferred name (what other members see), occupation, employment, address and location.
- Your legal name and date of birth can be edited until your identity is verified (level 2). After that they are locked; contact support to correct a mistake.
- Changing your address resets its verification status, and the change is recorded in your security history.
- You choose whether your city and state appear on your public trust profile.
5. Osusu
Osusu in ACHIEVER is a rotating savings group. A fixed group of members contribute the same amount on a set schedule (daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly). Each cycle, the full pool goes to one member, in an agreed order, until everyone has been paid once.
How a group works
- An organiser creates the group with a name, contribution amount, schedule, maximum number of members (2–100), start date, grace period (0–14 days) and payout order method (order of joining, random, or set manually).
- Members join with an invitation link or the group's 8-character join code. If the group requires approval, the organiser approves each request.
- When the group starts, ACHIEVER creates the cycles and each member's contributions for every cycle.
Payout rotation
Each cycle has one recipient. When all contributions for the cycle are paid (the cycle is fully funded), the organiser approves the payout. The payout is then sent to the recipient's verified payout account and recorded with a reference.
Why members keep contributing after their payout
Every member receives the pool exactly once, funded by everyone else's contributions. A member who has already been paid must keep contributing until the last member is paid — otherwise later members would receive less than they put in. Missing contributions after receiving a payout is treated seriously and places the member under review.
Payment status
Each contribution shows as Pending, Paid or Overdue. A payment is only marked Paid after Paystack confirms it.
Overdue contributions
If a contribution is not paid by its due date plus the group's grace period, it becomes Overdue. You receive reminders, the organiser can see who is overdue, and repeated non-payment affects your standing in the group.
Communication and meetings
Every group has its own chat. Organisers can schedule meetings with an optional voice or video call; members receive reminders before the meeting starts.
6. Collector
A Collector account lets a trusted person hold individual savings for savers over an agreed period and earn an agreed commission.
Becoming a collector
Collectors verify their phone and a government ID (verification level 2), accept a written undertaking, and submit a collector application. Applications are reviewed by ACHIEVER's compliance team; a collector can only accept savers once approved and active.
How a saver works with a collector
- The collector invites a saver to a savings plan with a name, frequency (daily, weekly, monthly or flexible), optional expected amount, start and end date (up to 3 years), and commission.
- The saver reviews the terms and accepts the invitation.
- The saver pays flexible amounts into the plan at any time while it is active. Each payment is confirmed with Paystack before it is added to the balance.
Savings period and maturity
The plan runs until its end date, when it becomes Matured. The saver can then request their return. A return can also be requested before the end date. The collector approves every return request (ACHIEVER staff can step in if there is a problem).
Commission
Commission is agreed before saving starts: either a percentage of the total (up to 20%) or a fixed amount. It is shown on the plan and deducted when the return is settled — never before.
Settlement
When a return is approved, ACHIEVER records the saver's net amount and the collector's commission as separate payouts and sends them to each person's verified payout account.
Disputes
If something is wrong with a plan, open a case in Help & disputes and link the plan. The collector can respond with their side and evidence.
7. Contributions
Osusu contributions have a fixed amount set by the group; you cannot pay a different amount. Open your group, find the contribution that is due, and choose Pay. Collector savings contributions can be any amount you choose.
To make contributions you need verification level 1. If you are asked to verify, follow the link in the message.
8. Payments
Payments are made through Paystack checkout (card, bank, USSD or bank transfer, depending on what is enabled). ACHIEVER never sees or stores your card details.
- After checkout, ACHIEVER checks the payment directly with Paystack. Your contribution is marked paid only when Paystack confirms it, using the amount Paystack actually received.
- If you start the same payment twice within 30 minutes (for example by double-clicking), ACHIEVER reuses the same checkout so you are not charged twice.
- If the amount received differs from the amount due, the payment is held for review instead of being applied.
- If a payment is completed twice, the duplicate is refunded.
You can see every payment and its status under Payments.
9. Payouts
Payouts (Osusu pools, savings returns and collector commissions) are sent to your verified payout account. Add it in Settings → Payment accounts.
- An organiser's or collector's approval is an instruction only. A payout is marked Paid only after the money has actually been sent and confirmed.
- For your protection some payouts are held for review before sending — for example if your payout account was changed recently, your verification level is below level 2, the amount is large, or your account is under review.
- If a payout fails (for example the bank rejects it), you are notified and it can be retried.
10. Savings
My savings shows each collector savings plan you have: its balance, total contributed, days remaining, the agreed commission and your expected return (balance minus commission). Open a plan to see every contribution and request a return when you are ready.
11. Bill payments
Where available, you can buy airtime and data and pay electricity bills from Bills. You pay through Paystack; ACHIEVER then delivers the purchase through its bill provider and shows the result and any token on the receipt.
If delivery fails after you have paid, the payment is refunded to your original payment method. Bill payments may be temporarily unavailable while the service is being set up or maintained.
12. Notifications
ACHIEVER notifies you in the app about payments, reminders, payouts, groups, meetings, support cases and account activity. You can also receive email and SMS for most of these — choose which in notification settings.
Security alerts cannot be turned off. Sign-ins from new devices and changes to your password, email, phone or payout account are always sent.
13. Messages
Each Osusu group and each savings plan has its own chat. You can also message people you share a group or plan with. You can send text and attachments (images and PDFs up to 10 MB). Files are stored privately and opened through short-lived links.
Read receipts, message sounds, previews and automatic photo loading can be changed in Settings → Messages.
14. Voice calls
Start a voice call from any chat with the phone icon. The other person sees an incoming-call alert and can accept or decline. Calls use your browser's microphone; allow microphone access when your browser asks.
15. Video calls
Start a video call from a chat with the camera icon. You can turn your camera and microphone on or off during the call and choose your audio device. Allow camera and microphone access when asked.
16. Group calls
Calls started in a group chat, and scheduled group meetings, include every member who joins. Members receive an incoming-call alert and can join while the call is active.
17. Account security
- Your session is kept in secure, HTTP-only cookies and ends automatically after a period of time.
- After 5 incorrect password attempts, sign-in is locked for 15 minutes and you are emailed.
- Signing in from a new device sends you an alert. You can choose to be alerted for every sign-in.
- Changing your password, email, phone or payout account needs your password and a security code, and sends you a confirmation.
ACHIEVER will never ask for your password, PIN, OTP or banking credentials — by phone, SMS, email or chat.
18. KYC (verification levels)
| Level | What you need | What it unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Verified email | Browse, chat with contacts, pay bills |
| 1 | Verified phone, legal name, date of birth, state, LGA and city | Make Osusu and savings contributions |
| 2 | A verified, unexpired government ID | Receive payouts without an identity hold; organise groups; operate as a collector |
| 3 | Liveness check and verified address | Highest level (liveness checks are not available yet) |
Your current level and next step are shown in Settings → Profile and Verification.
19. Identity verification
Verify your identity from Verification. You can use a NIN, BVN, international passport, driver's licence or voter's card.
- Enter the document type, number, your legal names and date of birth (and the expiry date for passports and driver's licences).
- Upload a clear photo or PDF of the document (max 5 MB).
- ACHIEVER's compliance team reviews it. You are notified of the decision.
Your document number is stored only as a one-way fingerprint plus the last four characters, and is never shown to other users. Staff can open your document only with a recorded reason. When a document expires, your verification level is updated and you will be asked to submit a current one.
20. Payment-account verification
Add your bank account in Settings → Payment accounts. ACHIEVER confirms the account name with your bank before saving it. Only the bank name, account name and last four digits are kept.
Changing your payout account needs a code sent to your email. You receive a security alert, and for your protection automated payouts to the new account are held for a short cool-down period (24 hours by default).
21. Managing devices and sessions
Settings → Devices & sessions lists where you are signed in, with the device, approximate network and last activity. You can sign out any single session or all other sessions at once. Changing your password signs out every other session automatically.
22. Changing password
- Open Settings → Password and enter your current password.
- We email a 6-digit security code. Enter it.
- Enter your current password, a new password and confirm it.
Your other sessions are signed out and you receive a confirmation email. Forgot your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in page — we email you a reset code.
23. Changing email
- Open Settings → Email, enter your password and the security code we send to your current email.
- Enter your new email address. We send a confirmation code to the new address.
- Enter that code. Your sign-in email is updated, and your previous address receives a security notice.
24. Changing phone number
- Open Settings → Phone, enter your password and the security code we email you.
- Enter your new Nigerian mobile number. We send an SMS code to it.
- Enter the SMS code. Your number is updated; your previous number (if verified) and your email receive a notice.
25. Managing notification settings
In Settings → Notifications you can turn email and SMS on or off for each category: payments, reminders, payouts, group updates, meetings, support, account updates, messages, platform notices and marketing. In-app notifications are always on. Push notifications are not available yet.
Platform notices and marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. Security alerts and messages about your money are not marketing and cannot be unsubscribed from.
26. Accessibility settings
Settings → Accessibility changes the whole app immediately: text size, reduced motion (or follow your device), high contrast, larger touch targets, underlined links and a strong keyboard focus indicator. See our accessibility statement.
27. Privacy settings
In Settings → Privacy you can hide your online status. In Settings → Messages you can turn off read receipts (you then won't see other people's either). Your public trust profile only shows your display name, verification badges and contribution record — never your contact details, address or balances.
28. Deleting an account
From Settings → Account deletion you can request deletion of your account. You confirm with your password and a security code, and you can cancel within 7 days. Accounts with open groups, savings plans or payouts must settle them first. Some records must be kept by law — see how deletion works. You can also deactivate your account immediately from the same page.
29. Requesting data deletion
If you want to keep your account but remove optional personal data (preferred name, occupation, business name, photo, settings), choose Optional personal data only in Settings → Account deletion. Details are on the Delete Data page.
30. Refund policy
Duplicate payments, payments made to a closed contribution, failed bill deliveries and approved reversals are refunded to your original payment method. See the full Refund Policy.
31. Disputes
Open a case from Help & disputes in the app. Choose the category, describe what happened, add the amount involved, and link the transaction, group or plan. Each case gets a number like CASE-2026-000123.
- Add evidence — receipts, screenshots or documents. Each file is fingerprinted when uploaded and cannot be edited afterwards.
- For disputes about a group or savings plan, the organiser or collector can see the case and respond with their own evidence. No finding is made until ACHIEVER reviews both sides.
- When the case is resolved you receive the outcome and a written explanation.
32. Reporting suspicious activity
To report a suspected scam or misuse of funds, open a case with the category Suspected fraud and include as much detail as you can. Reports are reviewed by our team; reporting someone does not automatically accuse them of wrongdoing.
33. Contacting support
The fastest way to get help with your account is to open a case in the app (Help & disputes) or on the Support page. You can also email stlsupport1515@gmail.com. Never include your password, PIN or full card number.
34. Troubleshooting
I cannot create an account
- Check the highlighted fields — names must use letters only, you must be 18 or older, and the LGA must be in the state you chose.
- An email address or phone number can only be used by one account. If yours is taken, try resetting your password.
- If the page says ACHIEVER is unavailable, check your internet connection and try again shortly.
I cannot log in
- Check your email and password (passwords are case-sensitive).
- After 5 failed attempts sign-in is locked for 15 minutes — wait, then try again.
- Reset your password with Forgot password.
- If your account was suspended or deactivated, contact support.
My payment is pending
- Do not pay again. Keep the payment page open — ACHIEVER is confirming the payment with Paystack.
- Check Payments for the status. Most payments confirm within minutes; bank transfers can take longer.
- If you were debited and it still shows pending after a few hours, open a case with the payment reference.
My payment failed
- No money is recorded against your contribution for a failed attempt. If your bank debited you, the provider normally reverses it automatically.
- Try again, or try a different payment method.
I didn't receive my code (OTP)
- Check that your phone number or email address is correct.
- Wait a minute — SMS and email can be delayed. You can request a new code after 60 seconds.
- Each new code replaces the previous one; use the latest code. Avoid requesting many codes in a row.
- Check your network signal (SMS) or spam folder (email).
I didn't receive my email
- Check your spam or junk folder and search for "ACHIEVER".
- Check the email address on your account. Request another verification email from the verification screen.
- Still nothing? Contact support.
My video call is not working
- Allow camera and microphone access in your browser (look for the camera icon in the address bar).
- Close other apps using your camera. Check your internet connection.
- Leave the call and rejoin, or reload the page. Use an up-to-date Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
My payout has not arrived
- Check that your payout account is added and verified.
- If you recently changed your payout account, payouts are held for a short cool-down.
- Payouts can be held for review for your protection. You are notified if it fails.
35. Frequently asked questions
What is ACHIEVER?
A platform for Osusu groups, collector savings, bill payments and communication, with verified payment records. It is not a bank.
What is Osusu?
A rotating savings group: members contribute a fixed amount on a schedule and one member receives the pool each cycle until all have been paid. See Osusu.
What is Collector?
Individual savings held by an approved collector for an agreed period, returned at maturity minus the agreed commission. See Collector.

How are payments verified?
ACHIEVER's server asks Paystack directly whether each payment succeeded and for how much. Browser redirects and notifications are never trusted on their own.
How is my identity verified?
You submit a government ID and a photo of it; our compliance team reviews it. See Identity verification.
Why does ACHIEVER need my information?
To protect members' money: to confirm who organisers, collectors and members are, to prevent fraud, to resolve disputes and to meet legal obligations. See the Privacy Policy.
Can I change my phone number?
Yes — Settings → Phone. See Changing phone number.
Can I change my email?
Yes — Settings → Email. See Changing email.
How do I change my password?

Open a case in the app or on the Support page, or email stlsupport1515@gmail.com.
How do I join an Osusu group?
Open the invitation link you received, or go to Osusu groups → Join and enter the 8-character code. The organiser may need to approve you.
How does payout rotation work?
Each cycle one member receives the full pool, in the group's payout order, until everyone has been paid once. See Osusu.
What happens when I miss a contribution?
After the due date and grace period it becomes overdue; you and the organiser are notified and your standing in the group is affected. If you have already received your payout, missed contributions place your membership under review. Pay as soon as you can.
